EXPLORE THE NORTHWEST JOURNEY: SON LA - DIEN BIEN - MOC CHAU 4D3N

Day 1: HANOI - HOA BINH - SON LA (Meals: L, D)

Morning

• The bus and tour guide will pick up guests at the meeting point and depart for Son La. The group will stop at Luong Son, Hoa Binh, the gateway to Hoa Binh Province, where guests can take photos with the magnificent Northern mountain scenery.

Lunch

• Guests will have lunch and then continue the journey. On the way, guests will enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the Moc Chau Plateau.

Afternoon

• Upon arrival in Son La, guests will visit the Son La Prison, the Son La Museum, and then check into the hotel for some rest.

Evening

• After dinner, guests are free to explore Son La by night.

Overnight in Son La.

Day 2: SON LA - MUONG PHANG - DIEN BIEN PHU (Meals: B,L, D)

Morning

• After breakfast, guests will depart for Dien Bien, admiring the beauty of the Northwest mountains. The group will stop at Pha Din Pass, one of the four famous mountain passes in Northern Vietnam. This pass was famously mentioned in poetry by To Huu: “Pha Din Pass, you carry and I carry - Lung Lo Pass, you sing and I sing.” The group will take photos at the pass before continuing the journey.

Lunch

• Upon arrival in Dien Bien, guests will check into their hotel, rest, and have lunch.

Afternoon

• The bus will take the group to Muong Phang to visit:

  • The Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Post, where General Vo Nguyen Giap and other campaign leaders worked. Located 1,000 meters above sea level in an ancient forest, the locals refer to it as “Sacred Forest” or “General’s Forest.” The visit includes the General's Bunker, Observation Tower, Chinese Advisors' Bunker, Political Department Bunker, and the Conference Hall.

  • Visit Victory Hill, then return to Dien Bien City for rest and dinner.

Evening

• The group will visit and interact with the Thai ethnic people in Ban Men, a village located about 5 km north of Dien Bien City. This visit includes cultural exchange and learning about local life (expenses at own cost).

• Return to the hotel for rest.

Overnight in Dien Bien.

Day 3: DIEN BIEN PHU - MOC CHAU (Meals: B, L, D)

Morning

• After breakfast, guests will check out of the hotel. The bus and tour guide will take the group to visit the Dien Bien Phu Historical Relics Museum, the Martyrs' Cemetery, A1 Hill, Muong Thanh Bridge, Nam Rom River, Central Airport, and De Castries' Bunker.

Lunch

• Guests will have lunch and then proceed to Moc Chau.

• Upon arrival in Moc Chau, guests will check into the hotel and rest.

Evening

• The group will have dinner, enjoy local mountain specialties, and have free time to explore Moc Chau by night.

Overnight in Moc Chau.

Day 4: MOC CHAU - HANOI (Meals: B, L)

Morning

• Guests will wake up early to enjoy the fresh morning air of the Plateau at an average altitude of 1,000 meters. After checking out of the hotel, the bus will take guests for breakfast. The journey will continue to visit tea plantations with lush green tea hills stretching from one hill to another.

• Guests will visit and take photos at tea hills shaped like hearts and the letter S.

Lunch

• The group will have lunch at a restaurant.

• Guests will board the bus for the return journey to the original pick-up point. Along the way, the bus will stop at various points for guests to rest and purchase Northwest specialties as souvenirs for family and friends.

• End of the "Explore the Northwest Journey" program. We look forward to seeing you on our future programs!
